Formulation
the art of formulation
Tailoring a formulation to specific needs is a subtle balance between efficacy and safety. An effective formulation takes into account several parameters which include lifestyle in addition to personal preferences for certain aromas.

psychology of scent
Each person relates to aromas differently. In the presence of something that smells good, you feel good. On the other hand, an unpleasant aroma will cause discomfort. The way we perceive aromas has physiological consequences that affect the body’s responses to stress.

methods of absorption
During the initial consultation we will explore the different methods of absorption that suit you best. This may be a simple massage blend or include additional formulations for diffusers, inhalation, pulse point roll-ons or specially handcrafted balms, ointments and gel emulsions.

ingredients
Manongi formulations are made with the highest quality organic, wild harvested and ethically grown ingredients, painstakingly sourced locally or from overseas, either straight from the producer or through reputable suppliers who abide by rigorous quality control and practices through BioGro, ECOCERT and COSMOS certification.

home crafted
Formulations are home crafted and prepared by myself.
I dry my own herbs to create herbal infused oils and extracts from plants either grown in my garden or foraged locally. When unavailable in the Cook islands, I source plant material from organic herbalists and growers in New Zealand.

Sustainable, refillable packaging
Seeking to limit as much as possible our impact on the environment we have opted as much as possible for packaging and containers made of glass or aluminium that can be reused and refilled.
